Genesis 2

Whether detecting misalignment in a vehicle's structure or verifying that repairs have eliminated damage, the Genesis 2 computerized measuring system can do the job. The Genesis 2 integrates the precision of laser scanning with a computerized data base for unmatched accuracy in collision repair and analysis. In addition to showing the extent of collision damage, the Genesis 2 monitors progress throughout the repair and verifies the vehicle's structure is correctly aligned.

The Genesis 2 system measures on the principle of triangulation. The system's electronic Body Scanner houses two rotating Laser Lights that project toward light reflective Targets that are suspended from a vehicle's reference points. The Body Scanner houses two photo sensors that identify the angle of revolving laser reflections. This information is then transferred to the computer allowing the auto body technician to precisely identify which areas of the frame need to be repaired.

The Genesis 2 is identical to the Chief Frame Measuring System, Velocity, with the exception of scanner size. The Genesis 2 has a slightly larger scanner, but measures the same as the Velocity System.

Weld bonding is a method used for joining metals. It involves the use of resistance welding machines, like the Pro Spot PR-8, in combination with a structural adhesive

To the right you can see an example of what the Pro Spot PR-8 welds look like in the repair of a vehicle. Notice the circular welds produced by the Pro Spot PR-8 welder. Our trained auto body technicians are able to weld with precision and accuracy using this resistance welding machine to weld replacement panels to manufacturer specifications.

Dents and Scratches

Our technicians use the Pro-Spot PR-8 to pull dents with a "no holes" procedure. Then the technicians use specially designed hand tools to repair and reshape metal or panels to pre-collision shape followed by priming and paint.

Minor door dings can be repaired through a process called paintless dent repair eliminating the need to prime and repaint the entire panel. Please call or ask our estimators if paintless dent removal is right for your vehicle.
